Arsenal and Tottenham have been the fiercest of rivals for the longest of times.
Indeed, Arsenal and Spurs historically can’t stand one another, and they have had some incredible battles on the pitch over the years.
Meanwhile, Spurs and Arsenal have had some interesting battles in the transfer market too in recent times.
Just this summer, Arsenal have signed Christian Norgaard after he was linked to Spurs, while the Gunners signed Noni Madueke after he was in the Tottenham academy.
Meanwhile, last year, Spurs signed Dominic Solanke after he was linked to Arsenal.
These two teams have done battle over similar players on many occasions in the past, and now, speaking to Sky Sports, another player has shared how he snubbed Tottenham for Arsenal.

Ayden Heaven snubbed Tottenham for Arsenal
Ayden Heaven and his mother have been speaking about the young defender’s journey in his career so far.
The pair were asked about Heaven almost joining Tottenham, and they shared just how close this move was to happening.
Heaven was actually in the car park to sign for Tottenham at one point before a last-minute call from Arsenal changed his course.
“At one point I think Ayden was close to joining Spurs, but he went to Arsenal, there’s a story behind that?” They were asked.
“Yeah, we were standing in the car park with his documents and then Arsenal ring, I was looking at Ayden saying ‘what do you think? Do you want to keep walking or do I take this call?’ We walked straight to the reception and said thank you for this opportunity, but we’re going to give it a go at Arsenal down the road,” His mum said.
“They let me play the position I preferred as well. I was a winger at the time, I started there and got to show my ability, obviously I got signed there a couple of weeks later, and that’s when I knew it was the right club for me,” Heaven said.
Ayden Heaven would’ve had a similar fate at Tottenham
Ayden Heaven ultimately left Arsenal after playing just one game for the club, and it would appear the move to the Emirates was the wrong move for the defender.
Heaven would sign for Manchester United in January 2025 where he has received more and more first-team chances.
The defender may well regret picking Arsenal over Tottenham, but he’d likely have suffered a similar fate at Spurs in terms of getting first-team minutes.

Tottenham have tons of centre-back options at their disposal right now, including some very talented young players who can’t get a sniff at the moment.
Heaven didn’t get any huge opportunities at Arsenal, but, by the looks of things, it would’ve been a similar story at Tottenham too.
