Arsenal are really starting to come to life in this summer’s transfer window.

Having only completed the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga as back-up to David Raya, there were growing frustrations from the fan base over the lack of transfer movement at the club.

However, Arsenal completed the signing of Martin Zubimendi and are now pressing ahead with their efforts to add Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke to their squad.

Arsenal have made enquiries for Eberechi Eze and it appears that Mikel Arteta is finally going to get the attacking firepower he has been craving.

However, one piece of business could prove to be the club’s smartest and it will infuriate their Premier League rivals.

Arsenal’s signing of Christian Norgaard is more important than Thomas Frank and Bryan Mbeumo

Arsenal are set to sign Christian Norgaard from Brentford in a deal worth £10m plus £2m in add-ons according to journalist David Ornstein.

The midfielder will provide Arteta with another option in the middle of the park following the departure of Jorginho and with a player that has great experience of the league.

Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Thomas Frank as their new manager, whilst Manchester United are expected to sign Bryan Mbeumo from the Bees.

However, arguably Arsenal have done the best piece of business out of the three with many Brentford fans believing that Norgaard will be their biggest loss.

The Dane’s ability to read the game and provide protection to their back four, whilst progressing their attacking play with his range of passing will be a huge detriment to their chances next season.

Brentford’s loss is Arsenal’s gain and the 31-year-old will be a valuable squad member as the Gunners attempt to finally claim some silverware.

Thomas Frank thinks Christian Norgaard is one of the Premier League’s best

With Frank moving to the other side of North London, he will become Norgaard’s fierce rival next season but the new Spurs boss is a huge fan of the Gunners’ latest acquisition.

Frank praised Norgaard upon the midfielder signing a new contract at Brentford back in March and believes that the 31-year-old has developed into one of the Premier League’s best in his position.

Frank stated: “His ability to sense danger and make interceptions is at an extraordinarily high level, as is his ability to play forward on the first or second touch. And he has picked up his goal threat this season!

“The first time I coached Christian, he was a no.10; now he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League.”

The Gunners are expected to officially announce the signing of Norgaard imminently with the player already having completed a medical.
