Does Eberechi Eze regret his move to Arsenal? A question fans have debated throughout the season.

It’s an understandable topic of debate, as Eze’s lack of playing time at Arsenal has been frustrating and, for the most part, unjustifiable.

The 27-year-old sealed a fairytale transfer to Arsenal in the summer transfer window, turning his back on Tottenham to sign for his boyhood club.

Months down the line, Mikel Arteta’s decision not to utilise Eze as much as he perhaps should have has taken the magic out of the move ever so slightly, but all is not what it seems.

Eberechi Eze made his feelings on Arsenal transfer so clear

Game time is everything to a footballer, but behind what we see on the pitch are real people living out real dreams.

Living the dream is exactly what Eze is doing, minutes aside, as he made very clear after booking his first cup final date with Arsenal.

“This is my club, and from young, it’s been the dream,” Eze told Arsenal’s official website after the Chelsea win.

“So, to win with Arsenal, to achieve stuff with Arsenal, this is everything to me.”

Though the discourse suggests that Eze might regret his move to Arsenal, that couldn’t be further from the case, as he’s on the road to achieving one of his wildest dreams: winning a trophy with the club of his heart.

When it comes to Arsenal’s chances of winning the Carabao Cup, Eze has full belief that the Gunners can emerge from Wembley victorious, just as he did with Crystal Palace last season.

“You want to work as hard as you can, put in the type of performance that you need to put in, and for sure, I believe it will come, and I believe that we’ve got the confidence and the players to do it. We’ll keep pushing for it.”

Mikel Arteta and Eberechi Eze are Arsenal’s secret weapons for the Carabao Cup final

Arsenal know that Eze can be a hero at Wembley, having won the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup with Crystal Palace in 2025.

Fill in the blank: Mikel Arteta should tell Eberechi Eze he must “_______________” to start for Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final…

The Englishman scored the match-winner at Wembley to see Palace win the FA Cup and also netted in the semi-final, boasting a record that is almost as good as Arteta’s.

Arteta’s record at Wembley as Arsenal manager is magnificent, winning all four of the games he’s led Arsenal to under the arch.

With Eze and Arteta’s expertise, there will be a belief that Arsenal can beat anyone at Wembley, with one of Manchester City or Newcastle United waiting in the final.
