Ethan Nwaneri creates Arsenal history against Bolton
Arsenal’s EFL Cup clash with Bolton was another chance for the side to create history as several academy stars were given their opportunity.
Declan Rice opened the scoring before an Ethan Nwaneri brace strengthened the lead for the Gunners on either side of halftime.
Aaron Collins pulled one back for the visitors, but that was overshadowed by Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz adding their names to the scoresheet.
For Nwaneri, it marked the first two goals in the senior team for a youngster who is very highly rated at the club.
The midfielder was the youngest scorer for the club since Jack Wilshere bagged a goal against Sheffield United back in 2008.
With an impressive performance in the bag, he will now be looking to make a mark on the first team.

Arsenal’s five-man striker transfer shortlist
Arsenal’s striker search looks set to continue into 2025 after the side were unable to strengthen their ranks in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners continue to be linked with a whole host of different names to lead the front line but haven’t been able to secure a deal for anyone yet.
Mikel Arteta will look to continue working with his squad, with more time dedicated to finding that perfect centre-forward option in the next few months.
There’s already a shortlist in place for Arsenal to work with, according to a report from TeamTalk, which claims five names are prominent.
On there are Dusan Vlahovic, Marcus Thuram, Jonathan David, Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko – many of which have previously been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Ian Wright points out Arsenal squad problem
Former Arsenal star Ian Wright has outlined his concern with Martin Odegaard’s absence from the side in recent weeks.
The playmaker has been missing through an ankle injury he picked up while on international duty with Norway in early September.
That has seen Odegaard miss out on key clashes against Tottenham and Manchester City in the Premier League, alongside Atalanta in the Champions League.
The midfielder is set to miss out on more action as he recovers, which is an issue Wright has outlined on the ‘Wrighty’s House’ podcast.
“With those three away games that we had, no Odegaard – remember, that’s our guy, that’s our control,” the former forward said.
“We haven’t got him, so what we’re doing at the moment, we’re finding other ways to try to create and do what Odegaard does which I don’t think we, if I’m going to be totally honest right now, in that squad we’ve got anyone else that can come in there and help us without creativity like he does.
“So for me, that game against City, I’m sure Odegaard wouldn’t have been taken off.
“I think if Odegaard is playing, I don’t think we play with just 10 men back like that, we will have some form of creative outlet in respect of that. So Mikel had to do deal with what he had to deal with.”
