Theo Walcott believes Arsenal can win the Champions League because of the partnership formed between William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes at the heart of the Gunners defence.

Gabriel leads the way when it comes to aerial duels won in the Champions League this season, beating the likes of Virgil Van Dijk and other top defenders around Europe.

The Brazilian’s ability in the air helps his team in both boxes as he prevents potential danger at one end but also creates danger in the opposition’s penalty area from set pieces.

David Luiz has previously described Gabriel as a ‘monster’

Former Arsenal defender David Luiz has previously been full of praise for his fellow countryman Gabriel as per The Metro.

Luiz was asked about Gabriel’s abilities and he stated: “Gabriel has the power of a monster – he can score in every single match.”

Gabriel recently revealed he has changed since joining Arsenal in the way that he defends and puts his improvement down to the coaching and instructions that he has received at the club.

If the Gunners are to continue their way through the competition, Gabriel and Saliba will no doubt play a huge role in their progression with clean sheets vital.
