Arsenal are one of the hardest-working teams in the Premier League, but you must have wondered which player has the best work ethic in the Gunners squad.

Mikel Arteta made it clear on his very first day as Arsenal’s manager that each player has to give their 100 per cent every single day.

Those who ignored him back then were shown the door, and players Arteta has signed since have all aligned themselves with his principles.

Everybody at Arsenal works hard, but Charles Watts has now named who people at the club think has the best work ethic.

Everyone at Arsenal is in agreement about the hardest-working player

If there’s one thing nobody can question about any Arsenal player, it’s their work ethic.

Mikel Arteta will not tolerate anything less than 100 per cent from his players, and all of them have been delivering that consistently over the last few years.

One player who has been in the news a lot lately is Ben White.

The Englishman made himself unavailable for selection for the England squad, and that led to a ton of criticism. However, many have jumped to his defence since then as well.

Charles Watts is one of them, and he has now revealed that everyone at Arsenal will say the same thing about White – he is the hardest-working player at the club.

The journalist wrote on CaughtOffside: “Ben White is as focused about football as any other elite player. You talk to anyone at Arsenal and they will say the same thing.

“No-one trains harder or works harder than Ben White.

“Just because he doesn’t go home and watch match after match on the TV doesn’t mean he isn’t fully committed to the game and his club.

“Mikel Arteta demands absolute professionalism from his players. If they don’t show that, they are swiftly shown the door. But White has been rewarded with a new contract that Arteta and Edu were desperate for him to sign and that tells you all you need to know about his character and how he is behind the scenes.”

“White has been carrying an injury throughout the season, but he consistently plays through the pain barrier. He is absolutely committed to everything he does.”

Ben White’s stats in 2023/24 are so impressive

Ben White has always been one of Arsenal’s most consistent players, and it’s no surprise to us that he is regarded as the hardest worker at the club.

The £50 million Englishman, since the start of this season, has arguably been the best right-back in the Premier League. His stats show just how incredible he has been.

White averages over 69 touches per game in the league this season and boasts a very healthy passing accuracy of 87 per cent. He also averages almost a key pass each game and has created six big chances, which is a fantastic return for a defender.

Defensively, the former Brighton man also averages 1.1 tackles, 3.2 ball recoveries, 1.6 clearances and almost an interception every game. He hasn’t made a single error that has led to a goal all season, and thanks to him, we have the best defence in the entire Premier League.

White is a phenomenal defender and deserves all the praise he gets. In our opinion, he is the most underrated player in the entire Premier League.
