Arsenal are set for their biggest summer transfer window of the Mikel Arteta era, with some clear reinforcements needed in key areas.
The Gunners have come close to winning the Premier League title and the Champions League, but continue to fall short when it really matters.
There is a slight edge missing from Arsenal, particularly in attack, where there is an expectation that moves will be made to improve the team.
Andrea Berta is working hard to land a striker, along with a winger, to add some firepower at Mikel Arteta’s disposal.
It won’t come cheap, however, leaving many wondering exactly how much Arsenal have to spend in the transfer market.

Arsenal could have over £200m to spend in summer transfer spending spree
Arsenal fans are expecting a big summer transfer spend, not least after a January transfer window with no signings.
After failing to land a striker in the winter, many could accept being patient, with the caveat that it would result in a big spend over the summer.
The transfer window is set to kick off strongly, with Arsenal set to sign Martin Zubimendi for £51 million from Real Sociedad.
The midfielder is likely to improve the options that Arteta has in the deeper midfield areas, but there are still questions about the forward ranks.
With expensive deals likely to be had for a striker and a winger, the good news is that Arsenal should have money to spend.
That’s according to finance expert Kieran Maguire, who revealed as much to BBC Sport.
He said, in a recent interview: “As the most profitable club in Premier League history, Arsenal could easily spend over £200 million in the window and have no PSR concerns. So if a striker is not signed, it cannot be blamed on PSR.”
It’s a welcome bit of news for the Emirates Stadium faithful, though the question remains as to how much of that will be made available by the Arsenal owners, and whether they can land that striker.
On top of that is whether it is invested wisely, with plenty of options available on the market, but they cannot blame restrictions for the lack of a centre-forward this summer.

Arsenal transfer spend under Mikel Arteta so far
In the Mikel Arteta era at Arsenal, there have been plenty of players who have come and gone into the team.
Some have worked out, others have simply failed, but the overarching theme has been just how much has been invested in the project.
According to Transfermarkt, roughly €792 million (£667.7 million) has been spent on players under the Arsenal boss.
That includes a club-record transfer of Declan Rice, along with the acquisitions of Kai Havertz, Ben White, Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey as the most expensive.
Another £200 million of investment would take Arteta to being one of the most well-backed bosses in the Premier League, perhaps only behind Pep Guardiola.
For many, it’s a signal that Arsenal must win trophies, with the time being now for success to shine.
