Gabby Agbonlahor believes Arsenal are about to pull something off that will lead them to the Premier League title.
The Gunners have finished second in each of the last three seasons, and have responded to this by significantly strengthening Mikel Arteta’s squad this summer.
Viktor Gyokeres has arrived for £63 million from Sporting CP as the marquee addition, while the likes of Noni Madueke and Martin Zubimendi have also joined for significant fees.
The North London club have spent around £200 million already, and one more signing is now on the verge of completion.

Gabby Agbonlahor says Eberechi Eze will win Arsenal the Premier League
Despite adding six players to Arteta’s ensemble already this summer, there is a feeling that one final addition is required to take Arsenal from title contenders to title favourites.
The left-hand side of the Gunners’ attack has flattered to deceive in recent seasons, and thus, it’s felt that this is an area Andrea Berta can upgrade.
It appears that this is a position that will indeed be upgraded, as Arsenal are now set to sign Eberechi Eze.
The Gunners have hijacked Tottenham’s move for the Crystal Palace attacking midfielder, agreeing a deal with the Eagles worth in the region of £68 million in total.
Speaking on talkSPORT, former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor described Eze as ‘outstanding’, claiming that the acquisition will lead Arsenal to the title.
“He’s an outstanding player,” he said.
“I was surprised that the season started, and top clubs weren’t trying to get him.
“His release clause was £68 million. I’m seeing [Matheus] Cunha and [Bryan] Mbeumo getting these moves, and he’s better than all of them.
“That’s going to be an outstanding signing for Arsenal, and I believe this move wins Arsenal the Premier League, I really do, mate. That left side has been a problem.”

Will Eberechi Eze be Arsenal’s starting left winger?
While an excellent player, there are reasonable question marks around where Eze will fit in at Arsenal.
It’s hard to envisage him playing regularly in midfield, given how highly Arteta regards both Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice.
That said, against teams that sit very deep, there may be opportunities for Eze to be used as a left-eight, as a more offensive option that will help the Gunners break down stubborn defences.
| Eberechi Eze’s Premier League Statistics 2024/25 | |
| Appearances | 34 |
| Goals | 8 |
| Assists | 8 |
| Shots per 90 | 3.48 |
| Expected Goals per 90 | 0.36 |
| Key Passes per 90 | 2.01 |
| Expected Assists per 90 | 0.22 |
| Successful Take-ons per 90 | 2.33 |
However, Eze is most likely to play the majority of his football in N5 off the left.
While not an out-and-out winger, the 27-year-old has shown a capacity to operate in wide areas, and would fill the role in a similar way to Leandro Trossard, but to a higher level.
Drifting inside from wide areas and being creative centrally, the England international may ultimately prove to be the perfect left winger in Arteta’s team.
