Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has given a positive update on his rehabilitation from injury, with the star stepping up his recovery.

The striker had been in and out of the side this season, having struggled to put together a run of form in front of goal.

He did manage that over December and January, starting to find the back of the net, until Gabriel Jesus picked up an ACL injury.

With a long spell on the sidelines now coming for the Brazilian, Arsenal will be looking to support him in making a return.

Following his surgery, Gabriel Jesus has now posted an update a few weeks since and is showing good signs in his recovery.

Gabriel Jesus reveals latest Arsenal injury update

Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has been out since mid-January, having picked up yet another cruel knee injury that will keep him out for a while.

The striker underwent surgery, which saw him on crutches for a while as he looked to recover on the long road back to fitness.

Taking to Instagram, Jesus has posted a positive update video showing what he has got up to in the past few weeks.

The caption reads: “The first seven weeks of recovery are done. Working hard and improving every day, thanks to God. Step by step.”

The video showed the moment of the injury before surgery and then the star making small steps towards his recovery.

From being in a knee brace to taking it off and slowly building up that strength yet again, the forward was spotted using a bike and walking in a swimming pool.

They’re all exercises used to help build strength in the ligaments once again, which is set to see him back in action again sometime next season.

When will Gabriel Jesus return from injury for Arsenal?

There are questions about when Jesus could make a return to the side, with his recovery taking the next step in recent weeks.

With the knee brace seemingly gone, many may be hoping that the Brazilian could feature again for the team soon.

That is incredibly unlikely though, with an ACL injury often keeping players out for a minimum of nine months.

That means Jesus isn’t expected to return to the side until late September moving into October, which won’t be until next season.

It remains to be seen if his recovery will be ahead of that schedule, but it’s a huge few months ahead for him.
