Arsenal have officially confirmed that Raheem Sterling will be leaving the club.
The England international joined the Gunners on transfer deadline day last summer on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea.
Not many Arsenal fans were too excited about Sterling, and unfortunately for him, his spell at the Emirates Stadium did not work out.
Now, Sterling will head back to Chelsea, where his future remains up in the air.
Gabriel Jesus sends message after Raheem Sterling leaves Arsenal
Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling have known each other for a long time.
The attackers played and won several trophies at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, and they always shared a great relationship.
Mikel Arteta would’ve hoped for that chemistry to blossom again at Arsenal when he signed Sterling, but that did not go to plan.
As a result, Arsenal confirmed that Sterling will be leaving the club and returning to Chelsea this summer – his loan will not be extended.
Sterling bid farewell to Arsenal fans on his social media, and after seeing the news, Jesus posted an Instagram Story with a nine-word message to his old pal.
He wrote: “My guy! It was nice playing with you again.”

The one reason why Raheem Sterling deserves praise at Arsenal
Sterling will be the first one to admit that he did not deliver at Arsenal.
The Englishman is so much better than he showed in the famous red and white, and he will surely be disappointed with his campaign.
However, Arsenal fans need to be grateful to Sterling for one reason.
Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly both had their breakthrough seasons at Arsenal, and they looked brilliant.
Yes, it’s their talent and mindset that makes them special, but having someone like Sterling around – who burst onto the scene at a similar age and delivered – would’ve been priceless.
We’re sure Sterling would’ve had a hugely positive impact on both Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly at Arsenal.
