We’re heading into what could be a very exciting summer transfer window in the Premier League.
Arsenal are looking for a new left winger, Anthony Gordon is a target, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been linked too.
On top of that, the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea need to rebuild as they will have new managers coming in.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Gary Neville has been discussing which players he wants Manchester United to sign this summer, and he’s named Declan Rice as one of his dream signings.
Does Declan Rice deserve to be Arsenal’s highest earner…if not, then who?
Gary Neville names Declan Rice as dream Man Utd signing
Declan Rice is now seen as one of world football’s elite talents, which is exactly why Neville placed him alongside elite names when discussing how United should rebuild.
“I’d want two midfield players and a centre half,” Neville said.
“That’s where if you said to me a top centre half and two good midfield players that’s what this squad needs right now then to be fair probably does need other things after that but I would say to me they dealt with the wide areas they’ve got Amad Mbeumo, Cunha, Mount can play there a little bit so I’m actually okay with that I think number 10’s with Mount, Bruno plays every week so he’s reliable so I’d say no problem there is two central midfield players and definitely a centre half we need a top centre half dream world it would be Marquinhos, Rice and Kane.
“Realistic I’m going Tonali, Elliot Anderson and I’m going Konsa.”
As Neville says, this is a ‘dream’ scenario rather than anything ‘realistic’ at the moment.
Luckily for Arsenal, Rice isn’t going anywhere, he’s well-contracted at a club that continues to challenge at the very top level.
Rice is about to play in his second Champions League semi-final, and, if all goes to plan, he will win his first league title this season too.
Interestingly, Rice named Sandro Tonali as his ‘realistic’ signing in midfield for Man Utd, but Tonali has also been linked to Arsenal, and, much like with Rice, the Gunners could end United’s dreams on that front.
