Glenn Hoddle says ‘every manager in the world’ would love to sign one Arsenal player now

Arsenal have several world-class players in their squad.

Mikel Arteta has been at the club for over six years now, and he has built a side capable of beating any other club in the world.

There has always been a debate over whether Bukayo Saka is world-class, but the Englishman has proven that he is. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes fall in the same bracket as well.

Another player who is undisputedly world-class is Declan Rice.

Glenn Hoddle says every manager in the world would sign Arsenal star Declan Rice

Rice is up there with the best players in world football.

The Gunners signed the England international in a £105 million deal back in the summer of 2023, and not one person has said anything negative about his price tag since.

In over two-and-a-half years at Arsenal, Rice has barely ever had a bad game, and his performances this season have reached a whole new level.

Not only is he outstanding off the ball, but Rice has created more big chances than any other Premier League player in all competitions this season.

That is why he is the standout midfielder on the planet right now, and Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle believes all the managers in the game would pounce at the chance of signing him if he ever became available.

He said on the Premier League Productions’ The Weekend Wrap: “It’s all about the team, and he is a team player.

“Every manager in the world would have him in their team.

“He’s so consistent, can play in numerous positions, and he’s a great example for children. A terrific player, he always was for West Ham as well, he’s only going to get better and better this lad.”

Is Declan Rice’s new song the best Arsenal fan chant? If not, which is?

Could Declan Rice win the Ballon d’Or?

No player in Arsenal’s history has ever won the Ballon d’Or before.

Thierry Henry came close to winning it at one stage, but Pavel Nedved controversially beat him to the crown. That was unfair, but no Gunners star has even come close since.

Rice definitely has a chance this year if things go Arsenal’s way.

The North Londoners are on top of the Premier League and Champions League tables and have also made it into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.

If Arsenal win all three competitions and England go on to do well at the World Cup this year, there is no reason why Rice will not be able to win the Ballon d’Or.
