Messages of support have been flooding in for Gabriel Jesus after Arsenal confirmed an ACL injury for the forward.
It came during the Gunners’ defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup, with the Brazilian going to the ground on two occasions holding his knee.
The second time marked something more serious as a stretcher was required to get the forward away from the action, with concerns growing over his fitness from that point onwards.
Arsenal confirmed Gabriel Jesus picked up an ACL injury, with surgery required to get him back on the road to recovery.
It’s a huge blow to all involved, but not least for the player himself, who now faces a long battle to fitness ahead of him.
As a result, messages have come in for Gabriel Jesus, plenty from fans and some from Arsenal players past and present.

Messages of support sent to Gabriel Jesus after ACL injury
With news of Gabriel Jesus picking up an ACL, there were plenty who wanted to show their support for the forward.
Taking to Instagram, Riccardo Calafiori was among the first to send a heartfelt message to his teammate on his story.
It read: “You’ll be back stronger than ever… you deserve the best, Fratello,” showing the sincere nature of the defender.

He wasn’t the only one, with ex-captain Granit Xhaka also going on to comment on Instagram, saying: “Stay strong bro.”

Gabriel Jesus injury record
Unfortunately for Gabriel Jesus, this isn’t the first serious knee injury he has suffered in his time with Arsenal.
The 27-year-old suffered an issue during the 2022 World Cup that left him sidelined for a few months, which came as a huge blow.
It was a difficult recovery, but the extent to the damage was nowhere near the ACL issue he has just picked up – which will take roughly nine months to recover from.
Over his career for the Gunners so far, there has been something of a patchy injury record to go with his arrival.
| Season | Injury | Time out |
| 24/25 | Knee – ACL | 9 months |
| 24/25 | Groin injury | 16 days |
| 23/24 | Knee | 23 days |
| 23/24 | Knee | 14 days |
| 23/24 | Hamstring | 27 days |
| 23/24 | Knee | 25 days |
| 22/23 | Knee | 100 days |
There is some hope that, having experienced knee injuries before, the star will have some idea on how to battle back from the ACL problem.
As far as injuries go though, it is one of the toughest for players to bounce back from, given the long lay-off time.
