Arsenal hero Granit Xhaka is set for another move this summer, as his career is ready for yet another change.

The 32-year-old cemented quite a legacy at the Emirates Stadium, moving between status as a hero and a villain at times.

Xhaka’s exit from Arsenal came after an impressive season, cementing himself as a fan favourite eventually.

His switch to Bayer Leverkusen led to plenty of success, winning the Bundesliga with the club in his first season.

With the arrival of Erik ten Hag at the club this summer, Xhaka is now set for an exit and could be set to reunite with a former Arsenal teammate of his.

Granit Xhaka set to reunite with Alexandre Lacazette with Neom transfer switch

Xhaka is set for another transfer this summer, with some expectation that he will leave Bayer Leverkusen before the window slams shut.

The midfielder is still in the peak years of his career, but is nearing the final years of that expected peak.

With that in mind, recent reports have claimed that Xhaka is closing in on a transfer to Neom SC in the Saudi Pro League.

If he does make that move, he will be meeting up with a familiar face, as his former teammate Alexandre Lacazette joined the club this summer.

The striker recently joined Neom at the end of his spell with Lyon, the club where he came through the academy.

Xhaka and Lacazette played alongside each other 153 times in their career so far, picking up 81 wins, 31 draws and 41 defeats.

What Granit Xhaka has said about Alexandre Lacazette during his Arsenal spell

Xhaka and Lacazette played alongside each other for plenty of seasons at Arsenal, with the pair racking up quite the chemistry on the pitch.

There were highs and lows, but Xhaka outlined just how “fantastic” Lacazette truly is when speaking back in 2022.

“In the end, people want him to score. People only see if players score,” the midfielder said of his teammate.

“But people sometimes don’t see how important he is for us, not only on the pitch but as well off the pitch.

“On the pitch, he is an amazing player and he understands the game so good with the quality he has.

“I hope now, after this three, four, five, six weeks, they understand how important he is for us.”

Now the pair can finally reunite, which may not have seemed possible just a few months ago.
