Mikel Arteta sends message to fans after signing new Arsenal contract
Arsenal have announced that head coach Mikel Arteta has put pen to paper in a brand new contract extension at the club.
The Spaniard, who previously played for the club in his playing days, was set to be out of contract in 2025 if he was to avoid a new deal.
That wasn’t the case though as the 42-year-old committed to signing on at the Emirates Stadium until 2027.

Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, the manager said: “I feel extremely proud, very excited and am looking forward to what is coming next.
“I’m proud to be where I am and have the relationships that I have with everyone at the club.
“I feel extremely lucky to work every single day with good people and the ambition we have here. I feel very inspired, I feel challenged, I feel supported and I want to do much more than what we’ve already done together.”

Ian Wright and Roy Keane predict the North London Derby
The North London Derby is right around the corner and the Premier League will have all eyes focused on the clash between Arsenal and Tottenham.
Plenty of famous pundits alike have come out to give their predictions on how they think the match will end up, including Arsenal legend Ian Wright and Manchester United icon Roy Keane.
On the Stick to Football podcast, the duo were tasked with working together to pick a final score for the week.
Speaking for the both of them, Wright said: “It is the best derby… We’re going to go 2-2.”
He then continued adding: “If we [Arsenal] go there and get the point this week, and I’m not being negative, with what we’ve got missing I think that’s a good point.”

Cesc Fabregas makes Ethan Nwaneri v Tottenham claim
Former Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas believes that youngster Ethan Nwaneri could have a big impact in the North London Derby on Sunday.
The Gunners are light in the midfield department, with Mikel Merino and Martin Odegaard suffering from injuries while Declan Rice is out suspended.
That leaves just Jorginho, Thomas Partey and Nwaneri as the only natural midfield options available to Mikel Arteta.

Discussing the 17-year-old on the Planet Premier League podcast, host Mark Chapman asked: “Do you know why it’s relevant talking about a possible 17-year-old [Nwaneri] playing in the midfield in this North London Derby?”
Fabregas replied: “I do, I do. Because he will score the winner and Tottenham lose.”
