Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka has finally broken his silence on Instagram and Twitter after a sad end to an otherwise incredible Euro 2020 campaign.
The Englishman wasn’t expected to even make the squad before the competition began, but Gareth Southgate surprised many of us. That trust grew as the tournament progressed and Saka became a huge star for his country.
The teenager was absolutely incredible every time he stepped onto the pitch. Arsenal fans already knew how good he was, but his performances won him immense praise from supporters of other clubs as well.
Everything looked great for Saka and it seemed like he was destined to return to Arsenal with the winners’ medal around his neck. Sadly, he slipped at the final hurdle and that gave Italy the Euro 2020 crown.
Saka has since received incredible support from almost everyone across the footballing world. Sadly, he, like Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford, was subjected to some disgusting racial abuse on social media, and that is absolutely unacceptable.
Bukayo Saka: Love always wins
The teenager broke his silence today after everything he has gone through over the last four days. He thanked everyone for all the support, apologised for his penalty miss and slammed Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for not doing enough to stop online abuse.
Saka has once again received a ton of support from everyone and he deserves nothing else. He is a hero to Arsenal and England fans, and what he has achieved at just 19 years of age is an inspiration to all of us.

Some of Saka’s teammates also showed their support to his message on his social channels. Eddie Nketiah replied saying: “Love you bro”, while fellow teenager Folarin Balogun said: “Onwards n upwards bro!”
Even Arsenal legend Ian Wright sent Saka a message and every supporter in the world will echo his tweet.
