Arsenal star Bukayo Saka makes the headlines every single week.
The Englishman is one of the best footballers in the Premier League and even in Europe. He has been sensational for the Gunners for a few years now and has taken his game to the next level this season.
Despite his performances, Saka keeps getting compared to other players in the Premier League and there is this age-old debate about whether he is actually world-class.
Arsenal fans are bored of that at this point, and it looks like club legend Ian Wright is too.
Ian Wright hits back at debate going on about Arsenal star Bukayo Saka
Saka is arguably Arsenal’s best player.
The Gunners have a solid squad and Mikel Arteta has top-class players at his disposal in almost every single position on the pitch.
However, the one player everyone turns to when Arsenal need someone to step up is Saka, and the England star rarely ever disappoints.
Instead of just acknowledging what he does week in and week out for Arsenal, people start needless debates about whether Saka is world-class and then come up with the most ludicrous arguments.
For example, Jason Cundy claimed recently that Saka would only be world-class if he scores 20 goals a season – the Arsenal number seven already did that in 2023/24.
Wright seems tired of these debates and has branded them as ‘annoying’ – we agree with him.
After Shay Given said Saka has to win things to become world-class, Wright replied on The Kelly and Wrighty Show: “The way you said it, it makes sense.
“When you watch the World Cup, that’s what you see, you see world-class players in Zidane and Kaka and all those players, and they’ve won the World Cup.
“It’s the way that people are throwing this about, like ‘he’s not world-class’, it’s just a clickbait kind of conversation, it’s so annoying!”

Is Bukayo Saka world-class?
This debate has been going on and on for over a year now, and there are still disagreements. We find that absolutely ridiculous.
A world-class player is someone who delivers week in and week out, is really important to his club and country, steps up against the big teams and constantly improves season after season.
Saka checks all of the above boxes, so the simple answer is: Yes, he is a world-class footballer.
To say that Saka has to win trophies to be considered world-class is a really silly argument. if that’s the case, then players like Socrates, Antonio Di Natale and Harry Kane are all average footballers.
Arsenal fans should stop arguing with people who say that Saka is not world-class. None of them ever make any sense are just using the Arsenal star’s name for attention.
