A round-up of the latest Arsenal news as Mikel Arteta lands an update on the injury to Martin Odegaard and Manchester City’s Jack Grealish has messaged Aaron Ramsdale.
Arsenal receive an update on Odegaard’s injury before facing Brentford
A trip to Brentford awaits Arsenal this Saturday as they come out of the international break with a London derby. And manager Arteta might welcome Odegaard back from his injury at the Bees. The 24-year-old did not feature in either of their last three Premier League games.
Odegaard initially spent Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Sheffield United on the bench whilst nursing a hip injury. But he then missed their matches with Newcastle United and Burnley after the Norway star developed a concussion. A ball hit him in the face in training at London Colney.

Now, though, the Evening Standard reports that Odegaard is trending towards returning as Arsenal face Brentford. He has shown great progress during training over the international break. Norway boss Stale Solbakken did not call Odegaard up to let him work on his fitness.

Havertz now hatches a plan to win the ‘trust’ of Arsenal’s supporters
Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz has hatched a plan to win the ‘trust’ of their fans after joining them from Chelsea. The German claims he faced a ‘tough’ task to be accepted right away at Emirates Stadium having arrived from a direct London rival after three seasons for the Blues.
Arteta bet big to prise Havertz away from Stamford Bridge as the Gunners sought to replace Granit Xhaka this summer. He switched west London for the north of the capital for an initial £62.5m, plus £5m in add-ons. But Havertz is determined to now win over Arsenal’s fanbase.
“It’s very important to feel trust from the fans,” Havertz told the Arsenal club website. “It’s always tough when you come from Chelsea because they are big rivals. So, it can take weeks to get some trust from the fans.
“But goals and good games can help me to get it and I will always give 100 per cent in the games and training sessions. I think they will recognise this, as well, which is very important. I’m really happy to be here.”

Man City’s Grealish sends Arsenal’s Ramsdale a message of support

Manchester City maestro Grealish has now sent Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale a message of support on Instagram. The pair have just spent the international break together as England finished off their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign. The Three Lions had already won Group C.
Ramsdale did not feature under Gareth Southgate in either of England’s ties with Malta and North Macedonia. But the Gunners outcast – who will play in his first Premier League match since September 3 at Brentford with David Raya ineligible – enjoyed his period with England.
The 25-year-old has now taken to Instagram to reflect on the Three Lions’ camp. Ramsdale’s post caught Grealish’s eye, as well, with the Manchester City ace lending his support. He has praised who Ramsdale is as a person as the shot-stopper prepares to play for Arsenal again.
Ramsdale captained his post: “What a week it’s been with the boys. Qualification done! Will miss the boys for a few months.” Grealish was quick to respond, noting: “Nahhhh what a guy man… the best.”
