Arsenal defender Ben White has made the headlines more than any other footballer in England recently.

White was booed at Wembley during the game against Uruguay, but within the squad, it looks like everyone is a big fan of him.

James Trafford says everyone in the England squad likes Ben White

Ben White became enemy number one for many people after he made himself unavailable to play for England during Gareth Southgate’s time as the manager.

The Arsenal star is said to have had a falling out with assistant manager Steve Holland during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and refused to represent the Three Lions after that.

Once Thomas Tuchel became the England boss, many people had a feeling that he would turn to White because he suits the German’s system perfectly.

Some England fans are clearly not happy, but those in the squad love White, says Manchester City star Trafford.

He said, as per HaytersTV: “I haven’t spoken to him (after the boos), but he’s obviously a top player, and he’s been brilliant so far in the week.

“He’s a great lad, and yeah, everyone really likes him. He’s a great lad. It was obviously a different night with getting booed, apparently, but yeah, he’s a great lad.”

Jordan Henderson has also backed White and told fans that they don’t really know what happened in Qatar almost four years ago. Even Harry Maguire praised White’s performance on his return.

All the players love Ben White, England fans should too

It is very clear to see that White is a popular member of the England squad.

The same is the case at Arsenal as well, where everyone at the club adores White and has only had good things to say about him.

Ahead of the World Cup, where England have a great chance of winning it, everyone needs to stay united, which means the fans have to back every player.

That includes White, and irrespective of your opinion about his previous actions, there is no denying that he is one of the best defenders in his country when he is fit.

If the Arsenal man receives the love he needs, we are convinced that he will deliver for the Three Lions.
