Arsenal dropped more points in the Premier League as they threw away a lead twice to draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace.
Jakub Kiwior opened the scoring with a brilliant header early on and was the star of the Arsenal player ratings v Crystal Palace.
Arsenal fans were furious with Raheem Sterling’s performance as the winger struggled once again to make any real impact on the game.
David Raya had an uncharacteristic poor performance in goal for the Gunners, whilst William Saliba made a fatal error to hand Palace a point. Pundit Jamie Carragher also singled out another Arsenal star for criticism.

Jamie Carragher criticises Martin Odegaard
Speaking on Sky Sports post match coverage of Arsenal’s clash with Crystal Palace, Carragher bemoaned the performances of Martin Odegaard this season.
Carragher stated: ” feel like a lot of the time, he [Odegaard] is not in the positions he should be. Which is between the lines. Not so much this season, I think he’s had an average season but before that and I was looking at him thinking he was almost on the level of Kevin De Bruyne when he gets the ball between the lines,
“He was threading things, everything was going through him, felt like I was watching one of the best players in the Premier League,
“He’s always coming out of the danger area, he’s almost coming into a central midfield position, any easy position for me where he can make nice passes, look neat and tidy but not really hurting anybody.”
Ethan Nwaneri will push Martin Odegaard next season
Odegaard’s relationship with Saka is key to Arsenal and the injuries suffered to both stars have affected the performances and results of the Gunners this season.
However, the emergence of Ethan Nwaneri will give Mikel Arteta something to consider next season given the goal contributions the Hale End star has managed in his first season in senior football.
| Martin Odegaard v Ethan Nwaneri this season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Odegaard | 39 | 5 | 10 |
| Nwaneri | 34 | 9 | 2 |
Nwaneri has already shown that he has the ability to play in a variety of positions and many believe that he will end up excelling in the number ten role.
Odegaard will have to step up his performances next season and get back to his exhilarating best that made him a firm favourite among Arsenal fans.
