Arsenal have another tough game coming up against Chelsea.

The North Londoners have already faced Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich this week, and they won both games.

Another victory against Chelsea on Sunday will make them even bigger favourites to win the Premier League title.

Blues legend John Terry has heaped praise on one Gunners star ahead of the game – Declan Rice.

Rice has been the talk of the town since his performance for Arsenal against Bayern Munich.

The England international has been incredible all season, but he produced one of his best-ever displays against the German champions.

Bayern players couldn’t stop talking about Rice after the game, while some Arsenal fans are tipping him to be in contention for the Ballon d’Or.

Even Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has raved about Rice, calling him a ‘complete’ player who is capable of doing everything on the pitch.

Now, Blues icon Terry has had his say on the Arsenal number 41.

“I can’t not touch on Declan Rice as well, and how good he was last (Wednesday) night,” he said on his TikTok.

“We spoke about how good Caicedo was recently for Chelsea, but Declan Rice does exactly the same for Arsenal as well. So, it’s going to be a good battle at the weekend between these two boys, but he was superb last night, putting in a Man of the Match performance.

“So, well done Decs, absolutely love him, and we welcome him back to the Bridge because he’s a Chelsea graduate who grew up in our academy. Very proud.”

Chelsea’s mistake could help Arsenal win everything

As Terry mentioned above, Rice was a part of Chelsea’s academy before he was released at 14 years of age.

The England international then joined West Ham United, and he developed into an incredible player at the London Stadium.

In 2023, Arsenal signed Rice in a £105 million deal, and he has since become one of the best midfielders on the planet under Mikel Arteta.

Rice has been brilliant in every game since the start of this season, and if he keeps performing at the same level, he could help Arsenal win everything.

Chelsea will then be left kicking themselves, as Rice could’ve been playing for them if they hadn’t made the mistake of releasing him.
