Here is the latest Arsenal news, including updates on Mikel Arteta, the Gunners’ search for a striker and updates from the Newcastle clash in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta’s side closed off their Premier League campaign at The Emirates on Sunday evening, with one final win on home soil.
A Declan Rice goal was enough on the day to solidify that Champions League football will be returning for yet another season for Arsenal.

Here is some of the latest news that came out of the fixture and various other happenings off the pitch.
Arsenal could target Igor Jesus instead of Alexander Isak
Alexander Isak missed the Arsenal clash due to injury but has been linked with a move to Arteta’s side for some time now.
The only problem? He’d be very costly, with Newcastle demanding around £150m for Isak. For this reason, it may be sensible to look at striking alternatives.
Arsenal could lure Igor Jesus for significantly less than Isak’s cost. He has a release clause of €100 million (£84m) in his contract, but the report claims that Arsenal’s plan is to sign him for much less than that figure.

Mikel Arteta ends 203-day run of playing Saliba or Gabriel in the Premier League
Arsenal’s win against Newcastle wasn’t exactly plain sailing. There were a few obstacles that Arteta’s side had to overcome to pick apart Eddie Howe’s.
One was a defensive change that Arteta was forced to make, with William Saliba forced off at half-time, seemingly through injury.
In doing so, this left Jakub Kiwior and Riccardo Calafiori as centre-backs, ending a ludicrous seven-month run of having one of either Saliba or Gabriel playing in a Premier League XI.

Mikel Arteta to miss Southampton game with touchline ban
Speaking of last times this season, the Newcastle victory will also be the last time Arteta is on the touchline for Arsenal in the 24/25 season.
Against the Geordies, referee Simon Hooper booked Arteta for delaying the restart, which means the Arsenal manager will miss the last game of the season at St Mary’s.
