Ethan Nwaneri shines in cameo for England’s Under-21s
Ethan Nwaneri is the only Arsenal player yet to be released for a summer holiday, with the youngster currently playing in Slovakia for the England under-21s in the European Championship.
The Three Lions kicked off their tournament with a 3-1 victory over the Czech Republic, courtesy of goals from Harvey Elliott, Jonathan Rowe and Charlie Cresswell.
Nwaneri started on the bench for Lee Carsley’s side, but was introduced in the 69th minute, in place of Manchester City’s James McAtee.

Despite only being granted a 20-minute cameo, the Hale End star caught the eye with some outstanding touches and pieces of skill.

Porto avoid paying Arsenal ‘penalty fee’ for Fabio Vieira
Fabio Vieira is set to play in the Club World Cup for Porto, although the Portuguese playmaker isn’t expected to continue with the Primeira Liga outfit after the tournament.
According to the Sun, Porto want to sign Vieira permanently, but aren’t optimistic about their ability to meet Arsenal’s demands.
The Portuguese giants have, however, managed to avoid paying a ‘penalty fee’ that was included in the 25-year-old’s temporary deal.

The loan included a £750,000 fee, with an additional £600,000 fine if Vieira didn’t appear in half of Porto’s games, which he did.

Arsenal rivals Tottenham appoint Thomas Frank as manager
Arsenal’s North London rivals, Tottenham, have finally appointed a successor to Ange Postecoglou.
Postecoglou was sacked by Spurs after leading them to a 17th-place finish in the Premier League, and Daniel Levy has now named Brentford’s Thomas Frank as his replacement.
The Gunners faithful didn’t react well to the appointment, with many fans taking to social media to express their dismay at now having to dislike the Dane.

Frank’s first game in charge of Tottenham will be against Arsenal in July in Singapore, in what will be the first North London Derby not played on English soil.
