Every Arsenal transfer target set to play in the Club World Cup and how to watch them

The entire Arsenal squad is now on holiday and enjoying their time off following the international fixtures, but several players who could end the summer at the Emirates still have matches to play before they can relax.

Eleven Arsenal players were on international duty in the last few weeks, including the likes of Bukayo Saka and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Ethan Nwaneri is set to play for England at the Under-21 Euros, while several more members of Mikel Arteta’s squad have been on holiday since the Gunners’ season ended in late May.

Club football isn’t out for the summer, however, with the Club World Cup set to commence on Sunday in the United States.

With that said, here’s a look at some of the most prominent Arsenal transfer targets set to feature in the inaugural version of the tournament and how to watch them.

Pablo Barrios – Atletico Madrid

Arsenal Insider revealed back in February that Arsenal hold an interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Pablo Barrios.

Despite closing in on the signing of Martin Zubimendi, the Gunners could yet make a move for Barrios if Thomas Partey opts not to remain in N5.

Barrios is likely to start for Atletico in the Club World Cup, having enjoyed an impressive 2024/25 season, and the Arsenal faithful will get the opportunity to scout the youngster in group stage matches against Paris Saint-Germain, Seattle Sounders and Botafogo.

Bradley Barcola and Lee Kang-in – Paris Saint-Germain

Arsenal are weighing up a move for Bradley Barcola, who could be on the market due to the excess of top class wingers at Luis Enrique’s disposal at PSG.

Meanwhile, Lee Kang-in was linked with Arsenal in January, and the Gunners could revisit their interest in the South Korean this summer if moves for other targets fail.

The two players’ prominence for PSG in the Club World Cup could reveal a lot about how Enrique sees them, and could ultimately dictate whether the North Londoners have a chance of landing them.

Jamie Gittens – Borussia Dortmund

Jamie Gittens easily could’ve ended up being part of Chelsea’s squad for this summer tournament, but the deal collapsed before the end of the first transfer window, and he’ll instead travel to the US to play for Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal could take advantage of Chelsea’s failure to sign Gittens once the competition has concluded or once Dortmund are knocked out.

Dusan Vlahovic and Kenan Yildiz – Juventus

Dusan Vlahovic remains on Arsenal’s radar after the Gunners tried to sign the Serbian back in January 2022.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have ‘extensively scouted’ Kenan Yildiz in recent months, with a view to potentially making a move this summer.

The pair of Juventus stars will be in action for the Old Lady in North America, and are expected to play a key role.

Rodrygo – Real Madrid

Perhaps the player Gunners supporters will be keeping the closest eye on during the Club World Cup is Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

Rodrygo is Mikel Arteta’s dream winger target, and how much he features for Los Blancos at the tournament is expected to determine his future.

If Xabi Alonso chooses not to use the Brazilian frequently, then it’ll be an indication that he’s up for sale, and Arsenal may then swoop.
