Arsenal fans will finally end their wait to see their side back in action as Mikel Arteta’s side face AC Milan in the first game of their pre-season tour of Asia.

The Gunners have not featured since the end of May in their 2-1 victory at Southampton and all eyes will be on how the players have returned from their summer break.

New signings Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga are all in line to feature as the season opener at Old Trafford draws ever closer.

So, with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal news ahead of another busy day of action.

Arsenal fans notice physical change in Ethan Nwaneri

Ethan Nwaneri has had a busy summer with his successful participation in the England U21 triumph at the European Championships.

Upon his return to Arsenal training, fans have noticed that the Hale End star has ‘bulked up’ over the summer and looks in peak physical condition ahead of the season.

One fan wrote: “He has added at least 3kg of muscle already. It’s so, so over for the rest very soon.”

Nwaneri has agreed to extend his stay at the Emirates and will be hoping to become a permanent fixture in Arteta’s first-team this season.

Alan Smith thinks Arsenal will need to change style upon Viktor Gyokeres arrival

With the news that a total agreement has been found for the transfer of Viktor Gyokeres, fans are now dreaming of him featuring during the pre-season tour to Asia.

David Ornstein has reported that everything is drawing to a conclusion in the deal and the Swede will undergo a medical at the club in the coming days.

However, former Arsenal striker Alan Smith believes that Arteta will have to ‘tweak’ his tactics slightly upon the arrival of the 27-year-old.

Smith stated: “Arsenal would maybe have to tweak the way they play with him in the team in order to service his qualities and get the ball through to him quickly.”

Many believe that his place is under threat following the arrival of Noni Madueke from Chelsea but the Gunners winger is ‘looking forward’ to the new signings entering the fray.

Martinelli stated: “Yeah I’m really happy with the new signings. They’re going to really help us this season. Really good players, we’re happy with them and we’re trying to help them feel at home, so I look forward to playing with them as well.”
