Arsenal have had nearly a week away from action but they return soon as the Champions League awaits in midweek.

The Gunners make the trip to the Netherlands, facing off with PSV Eindhoven in the round of 16, hopeful of taking a lead into the second leg just eight days later.

As Mikel Arteta prepares for one of the biggest games left this season, here’s a look at the biggest news ahead of the day.

Jurgen Klopp faces Benjamin Sesko transfer scenario

Arsenal transfer target Benjamin Sesko could be made available in the summer transfer window if things don’t go to plan for RB Leipzig this season.

The Bundesliga outfit were dumped out of the Champions League in the league phase this season, taking a hit to their revenue.

That could be made even worse in the months ahead as Leipzig face a real possibility of not qualifying for the competition or any European football for next season.

In the event of that happening, it could push an exit for Sesko even closer to happening, with Arsenal’s interest.

Arsenal loanee Fabio Vieira hailed by Portuguese media

Arsenal loanee Fabio Vieira continues to impress as his spell at Porto, having featured again for the side against Arouca.

The midfielder got on the scoresheet, helping the Portuguese side land another three points in their aim of landing a Champions League place.

Vieira was praised by the Portuguese media for his display, being hailed as a “genius” for his ability to find the back of the net.

In far from ideal news though, he did pick up a booking in the game, which is his fifth for the campaign and will see him miss a crucial game against Braga next.

New goalkeeper rule for David Raya to take note

Arsenal shot-stopper David Raya will have to take note of a new rule change coming in the 2025/26 season.

IFAB, football’s lawmakers, have announced that goalkeepers will only be able to hold onto the ball for eight seconds.

On top of that, what would previously be awarded as an indirect free-kick will now be given as a corner if the rule is broken.
