Arsenal host Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, days before they travel to the French capital to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The Gunners will be looking to strengthen their grip on second place with victory over the Cherries, while they’ll also look to build some positive momentum ahead of the second leg.

PSG await Arsenal at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday, in what will be Mikel Arteta’s team’s season-defining game.

With that said, here’s a look at the latest news ahead of another big day.

Mikel Arteta issues injury update on three Arsenal stars

Arsenal have a number of injury issues to contend with over the upcoming games, with the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu all out for the rest of the campaign.

However, Calafiori, Jorginho and Havertz are all expected to return from their respective fitness issues before the end of the season.

Speaking to the media on Friday afternoon, Arteta confirmed that all three players will be absent for the visit of Bournemouth, although he refused to rule them out for the second leg against PSG.

While Calafiori and Jorginho were always expected to be in line to feature against the Ligue 1 side in some capacity, the news that Havertz could be available comes as a shock.

Arsenal transfer target Nico Williams disappoints in Europa League semi-final

Williams started for Athletic Club against Manchester United in a Europa League semi-final on Thursday night, and the winger flattered to deceieve.

United ran out 3-0 winners, courtesy of a goal from Casemiro and a brace from Bruno Fernandes, with Daniel Vivian sent off for the Spanish side in the first half in the midst of this chaos.

Williams, who is a transfer target for Arsenal, produced a wasteful performance for his boyhood club, consistently giving the ball away while he was unable to influence proceedings in the final third.

Eventually hooked, Arsenal fans were left unimpressed with Williams, while Spanish media launched a scathing review of the 22-year-old’s display.

PSG issue Ousmane Dembele injury update before Arsenal clash

Dembele was the thorn in Arsenal’s side in the first leg at the Emirates, scoring the only goal in the game after four minutes.

However, the Frenchman is now a doubt for the second leg after sustaining a hamstring injury.

PSG finally broke their silence on the setback, releasing an official prognosis which stated that the player suffered a ‘hamstring tear’.

This injury generally rules players out for ten days, meaning Dembele would miss the second leg, although it’s plausible the Ligue 1 giants are playing mind games with Arsenal.
