Arsenal are preparing to welcome Bournemouth to the Emirates Stadium knowing that three points are required to tighten their grip on second place.

PSG thought Arsenal were over confident heading into the Champions League semi-final first leg at the Emirates Stadium and Mikel Arteta’s side can ill afford to show any further complacency.

Arsenal still require two wins from their final four Premier League games to ensure a top five finish and have tough fixtures against Liverpool and Newcastle on the horizon.

Martin Odegaard’s recent criticism highlights the Gunners struggles this season to turn draws into victories and Andrea Berta knows that attacking firepower is on the summer shopping list. However, fans are not keen on one target.

Arsenal fans react to Nico Williams performance v Manchester United

Nico Williams is Arteta’s dream signing this summer and had a chance to showcase his talents against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League semi-final.

Athletic Bilbao had a player sent off in the first half and succumbed to a 3-0 home defeat, leaving their European dream in tatters. Gunners fans were not impressed with Williams and have taken to X to voice their concerns over the signing.

One fan on X wrote: “He’s absolutely not an upgrade nowhere near. Overhyped overrated poster boy.”

Another Arsenal fan wrote: “Just over hyped for nothing, Arsenal needs to trade carefully here.”

Another fan voiced their concerns over the wage demands that Williams is insisting on and doesn’t think his talent warrants it, they wrote: “And this bro is looking for 300k a week, he is not even worth 50k per week.”

Antoine Semenyo a better option than Nico Williams for Arsenal

David Ornstein revealed Antoine Semenyo’s price tag amid recent interest from Arsenal but the Bournemouth man may be a better transfer option for the Gunners this summer.

Semenyo has been outstanding for Bournemouth this season and is a huge part of why they currently find themselves in the hunt for European football next campaign.

Gabriel Martinelli has shown glimpses of being back to his best following his return from a hamstring injury but there is no doubt the Gunners need something special in their attacking armoury.

Both Williams and Semenyo have that ability to beat their defender and produce moments out of nothing however, Semenyo’s Premier League experience should not be overlooked.
