With that in mind, attention will seemingly switch quickly to the summer transfer window ahead, with some big deals expected in the upcoming weeks.

As links continue to swirl over potential incoming signings and outgoing stars, Arsenal have plenty to do in the market.

So with that said, here’s a look at all the latest Arsenal news ahead of another busy day.

Latest Thomas Partey and Arsenal contract update

Talks are stepping up between Arsenal and Thomas Partey over a potential contract in the coming weeks, claims journalist Charles Watts.

The midfielder is entering the final few weeks under contract at the Emirates Stadium, with the Ghanaian international set to become a free agent in the summer.

However, Watts has claimed that talks have taken a step up in recent days, with both parties working towards an extension.

Partey’s agent was claimed to be at the final home match of the season between Arsenal and Newcastle ahead of crunch talks.

Jurrien Timber set to return in pre-season from Arsenal injury issue

Arsenal star Jurrien Timber is set to undergo surgery on his ankle after suffering from an injury there over recent months.

The right-back is believed to have been playing through the pain barrier to ensure that the Gunners had a full-back available for their crunch matches.

The Dutch international has missed out on recent games since exiting the Champions League, with it being expected that he will play no further part this season.

Arsenal cool interest in Jorrel Hato this summer

Arsenal have been linked with a potential move for Ajax youngster Jorrel Hato in the past, with the defender showing his ability at the highest level.

Despite that previous interest, CaughtOffside have reported that the Gunners have “cooled” any potential efforts for the 19-year-old.

That’s because of the emergence of Myles Lewis-Skelly, who has become a key player in the backline in recent months.

The Hale End academy graduate has become a regular at left-back, closing off the possibility of landing Hato.
