11 Arsenal stars could miss Bournemouth clash

Arsenal return from the international break this weekend in a tough clash away at Bournemouth on the south coast.

Mikel Arteta faces a challenge in keeping momentum and confidence high before the November international break.

That task may be even larger as he faces the possibility of missing as many as 11 players for the trip to the Cherries.

Arsenal plan for Gabriel Martinelli injury return

After another bruising international break, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is sweating over the fitness of Gabriel Martinelli.

The forward went away on national team duty with Brazil but picked up an injury concern during a training session.

The 23-year-old is believed to be fine and the problem is thought not to be serious, though the Gunners will be keen to do their own assessments on his condition when he returns.

The report states: “Arsenal have been in contact with the Brazilian FA after learning of Martinelli’s injury… The Gunners will be hoping the winger can be fit for Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth.”

It remains to be seen exactly whether he will be fit enough to feature against the Cherries.
