Arsenal are exploring a move to sign Vinicius Jr.
The Brazil international is in the final year of his Real Madrid contract and while no club-to-club talks have taken place yet, this is very much a possible reality.
The Athletic report that the idea has ‘approval at all levels within the club’, suggesting the manager, the recruitment team, and the higher-ups are all on board to bring Vinicius to the Emirates.
It would surely be the most ambitious signing in Arsenal’s history.

Even the captain would love to see it happen too.
Speaking to Norwegian media outlet TV 2 back in March 2025, Odegaard was asked if he could sign any player for Arsenal, who would he take?
His answer: “Now I just said that Vinicius is the best in the world so it’s natural to take him.”
All of a sudden, that is incredibly relevant.

Odegaard came up against Vinicius in the Champions League in 2024-25, and, most recently, captained the Norway side that knocked Brazil out of the World Cup in the round of 16.
Vinicius was full of praise for the Arsenal skipper after the game too. “Norway surprised us. They moved very well, they controlled the game, as Odegaard always does,” he said.
Odegaard would feast off playing with an attacker with the devastating quality that Vinicius brings.
He is the type of signing that completely elevates this Arsenal attack — exactly what they need to bridge the gap on PSG in the Champions League.
Signing Vinicius would also surely set Arsenal up to win multiple Premier League titles. A player with 128 goals and 100 assists in 375 Real Madrid appearances.
It’s in its early stages, of course, but with one year left on his contract, certain dominoes could fall, and this could actually happen.
It won’t be cheap and it will certainly break Arsenal’s wage structure, but you simply cannot pass up on an opportunity as big as this.
The question now is whether Andrea Berta can make it a reality.
