Martin Odegaard was asked an incredibly tough question about Viktor Gyokeres during the international break.
Mikel Arteta’s captain is one of many Arsenal players on September international duty, with Norway taking on Finland and Moldova.
Odegaard impressed for Norway against Finland, as his nation won 1-0, and next comes the real test.
The clash against Norway was a friendly, but on Tuesday night, Norway continue their quest for World Cup Qualification.

Martin Odegaard asked to pick between Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland
Given that Norway didn’t qualify for the 2022 World Cup, the stakes are high ahead of next summer’s tournament.
Despite the pressure to succeed on the pitch, Odegaard has been thrown a few curveballs while away when tending to his media duties.
Firstly, Odegaard was prompted to respond to Tony Adams’ criticism of him being captain, and then he was backed into a corner to answer a near-impossible question.
Being captain comes with great responsibility, as Odegaard found when he faced Norwegian outlet TV 2 Sport in a quirky interview for TikTok.
The premise of the TikTok video was simple: pick between Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland for a game of start, bench, sell.
“Gyokeres, Haaland, Isak. Yeah, that one’s difficult too,” Odegaard said.
“I mean, Erling can pretty much play anywhere here on the national team, and he probably gets the most money there, so maybe just cash in and sell him,” he joked, then turned his attention to Gyokeres and Isak.
“Then I’ll start together with my buddy Gyokeres, and then Isak ends up on the bench.”
Aside from selling his national teammate Haaland, Odegaard remained loyal to his Arsenal teammate, choosing Gyokeres over Isak.
Arsenal will be so relieved at the timing of Isak’s Liverpool transfer
It was no secret that Arteta was an admirer of Isak, but it was Liverpool who signed the wantaway striker.
The Reds spent £125m to sign the former Newcastle talisman, a move that Arsenal will be glad happened on deadline day.
Before the international break, Arsenal lost 1-0 to Liverpool, a game that could’ve been largely different had Isak played, with the Swede having a stellar record against the Gunners.
In five matches against Arsenal, Liverpool’s new number nine has won three times, scoring twice and, on every occasion, testing the defence.
Still, it’s rather deflating news for the Premier League title race as Isak only makes the reigning champions better, but Arsenal will trust in their impressive recruitment.
