Max Dowman can follow Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly at Arsenal
Of course some Arsenal fans may already be dreaming of a midfield that could contain all three of Dowman, Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly in five or so years’ time.
Unfortunately, in the here and now, Lewis-Skelly has picked up an injury at Arsenal.
It remains to be seen how long the 18-year-old will be missing, but with Riccardo Calafiori also suffering a knock, there could have been an opportunity for the youngster.
Arsenal will likely turn to Oleksandr Zinchenko in that scenario, but Lewis-Skelly has been preferred to the more experienced campaigner in the past.
Either way, it’s brilliant to see the Hale End Academy producing elite talent once again, and Dowman really is a player to be excited about.
