Arsenal starlet Max Dowman sent Liverpool’s Rio Ngumoha a message after the teenager made his full Premier League debut against Tottenham.
The future of the Premier League is in good hands, as Dowman and Ngumoha made very clear after matchweek 30 of the 2025/26 season.
Dowman became the Premier League’s youngest goalscorer by finding the net in Arsenal’s crucial win over Everton, followed by Ngumoha earning his first league start for the Reds.
It’s been a magnificent weekend for the future of English football, with both players showing their talent and, most importantly, celebrating each other’s successes.
How closely do you think Max Dowman will follow in Lamine Yamal’s footsteps?
Max Dowman sends message to Rio Ngumoha after Liverpool’s draw against Tottenham
After Dowman’s moment of magic against Everton, 17-year-old Ngumoha applauded his friend and international teammate on Instagram.
24 hours later, the Arsenal starlet did the same, celebrating what the Liverpool prodigy did on his full Premier League debut against Tottenham.
“The best!” Dowman commented on Ngumoha’s Instagram post, clearly enjoying what he saw the winger do to Arsenal’s rivals.
The only thing Dowman might’ve hoped to see his friend do at Anfield was to walk away with three points, as Tottenham continue to fight Nottingham Forest and West Ham in the battle to avoid relegation.
Most importantly, the pair both had sensational experiences on matchday 30, Dowman making history and Ngumoha collecting the Man of the Match award on his first Premier League start.

It can’t be stressed enough how bright the future of English football looks, thanks to the two emerging attackers who are on parallel paths to making history.
Before the 2025/26 season, the last 16-year-old to score in the Premier League was James Vaughan in 2005, but Dowman and Ngumoha rewrote the script.
How many Premier League goals will Max Dowman score before he’s 20? 😳
Exceptional.
At 16 years and 361 days old, Ngumoha scored his first Premier League goal against Newcastle in August, and then, Dowman wrote his name on the charts.
The Arsenal starlet topped the youngest-scorers charts by finding the net at 16 years, 73 days old, obliterating Vaughan’s 2005 record by 197 days.
Dowman and Ngumoha’s goals transformed the top five table, with Dowman topping it and Ngumoha making the top five.
