Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has discussed the appeal that overturned the red card shown to Myles Lewis-Skelly in the win over Wolves.
The Gunners ran out 1-0 winners at Molineux, securing another three points in the Premier League from Riccardo Calafiori’s effort.
However, it was the refereeing decisions that caught the attention, with Michael Oliver sending off Myles Lewis-Skelly in bizarre circumstances.
The Arsenal star appeared to trip up a Wolves attacker on the counter-attack, though the match official awarded a straight red card for serious foul play – deeming the nature of the foul to be dangerous.
Since then, plenty of reactions have suggested that many think it was a mistake for the sending-off to occur.

With it being successfully overturned, he will be available for selection over the weekend at the very earliest.
When asked about the appeal decision, Mikel Arteta told the press: “Yeah, obviously really happy that the decision has been made and Myles is going to be available for us.”
It comes as a huge boost to the manager, who will now have the star available for some big clashes.
Riccardo Calafiori added on the situation: “We knew it was a mistake… I think he [Lewis-Skelly] has a strong guy mentality, and also on the pitch.”

How do red card appeals work in the Premier League?
Clubs must lodge an appeal to the FA within two working days of the red card to file for wrongful dismissal.
Within the days that follow, a panel filled with experts spanning from officials to ex-players and former managers sit down to review the case before coming to a conclusion.
Appeals are often rare and there are few overturns for those decisions, though there was one case earlier this season in the Premier League.
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes was shown a red card against Tottenham that was eventually rescinded by the panel.
