Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is turning his attention to the Premier League after the Gunners’ Champions League win.
Arsenal beat Monaco 3-0 at the Emirates on match day six of the tournament, moving up to third in the Champions League table.
Arteta admitted he was surprised by Bukayo Saka as the winger made the game his own, playing a part in all three of Arsenal’s goals.
The night was equally as memorable for 18-year-old Myles Lewis-Skelly, who made his full Champions League debut in front of a home crowd.

Lewis-Skelly matched an 18-year feat against Monaco, matching Johan Djourou’s pass success in the competition from 2006.
Amid Arsenal’s defensive injury concerns, Arteta called on the teenager to start at left-back where he excelled.
The future is bright for the Gunners thanks to the talent Hale End is producing and now, Lewis-Skelly could be taking the right path to the next step of his Arsenal journey.
Arteta might have hinted at future involvement for the midfielder-turned-left-back, hooking him after 64 minutes alongside Declan Rice and Gabriel Martinelli.
The manager took Lewis-Skelly off with two first-team regulars, hinting that he could be involved in a similar capacity against Everton on Saturday afternoon.
The Arsenal boss has been cautious with managing minutes due to an injury-laden campaign, which could suggest that the 18-year-old has the Toffees to prepare for in the Premier League.
Arteta thinks Lewis-Skelly is ready
Arsenal fans were impressed by Lewis-Skelly’s display against Monaco, applauding the teenager’s fearless approach to his full European debut.
The squad showed strong support for the youngster as William Saliba was spotted preparing Lewis-Skelly for the fixture ahead of kick-off.
It certainly makes for good viewing given the defensive absences that Arsenal could carry into the Everton game, with Arteta confirming that the teen is ready for the next step.
“He’s one of our own, 18 years old, he makes his starting debut in the Champions League and it’s just a joy to watch him,” Arteta said.
“He certainly took his chance and it’s great that we can trust him.”
All eyes will be on team selection ahead of facing Sean Dyche’s side, with there a strong chance that Lewis-Skelly could be involved.
