A round-up of the latest Arsenal news, including updates on Carlos Cuesta, Ben White and fixtures compared.
Mikel Arteta on potential Carlos Cuesta exit
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has admitted that he cannot stand in the way of assistant coach Carlos Cuesta leaving, if he wishes to pursue a role as a head coach. It comes as the current number two to the manager continues to be linked with a move to another club in the summer.
Speaking via The Mirror, Arteta said: “If that’s their will? You cannot [stop them]. I wouldn’t, no. That’s great what has happened, not only with the coaching staff but also certain staff, that other clubs are trying to come and get them which is always a really good sign that they’re doing a really good job.
“I think everybody needs to feel that there is a path, there is a development plan for everyone. People don’t want to do the same thing for three, four, five years you know, and there is a way to incentivise people, to inspire other people, and then to explore.
“Because you don’t really know the limit of a person unless you expose him to certain things. I think curiosity is a really important quality that we have within our young staff, and that thrives.”

Ben White praise
Arsenal stars came in for plenty of praise following their 5-0 thrashing of Burnley, but one player in particular was singled out for some encouraging words. Journalist Charles Watts took some time to highlight the recent form of right-back Ben White.
Speaking on his Inside Arsenal, Watts said: “Ben White just looks like a player absolutely reborn after that trip to Dubai…that topping up of his tan seems to have recharged his batteries, and he’s looking like the player that we saw last season, he plays so well week in, week out.”
