Arsenal are preparing to face Everton at Goodison Park but will have one eye on their Champions League quarter final against Real Madrid.
Mikel Arteta’s side welcome the reigning European champions to the Emirates Stadium in a mouth-watering clash in the Champions League.
Arsenal’s potential line up against Real Madrid could be without several key players as Arteta sweats on the fitness of the likes of Jurrien Timber and Ben White.
Carlo Ancelotti feared he would also be without the likes of Kylian Mbappe as several Real Madrid stars faced a UEFA investigation and those charges have now reached a verdict.

Real Madrid stars cleared to face Arsenal
UEFA have cleared Real Madrid stars Antonio Rudiger, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr and Dani Ceballos to face Arsenal following charges brought against the quartet after their victory over rivals Atletico.
Rudiger has been fined a total of €40,000 and has a suspended one match ban meaning he can play against the Gunners.
Mbappe has been fined €30,000 for his role in the celebrations whilst former Arsenal midfielder Ceballos has received a €20,000 punishment.
The holders will be breathing a huge sigh of relief having such key figures available for the clash with Arteta’s men.
Dani Ceballos could return to haunt Arsenal
Real Madrid’s Ceballos spent two seasons on loan at the Gunners and after initially impressing, it is fair to say he divided opinion amongst fans during his time in North London.
Ceballos had a bust up with Eddie Nketiah and could now return from a recent injury to play his part in ending Arsenal’s hopes of a trophy this season.
| Dani Ceballos Arsenal career | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Yellow cards | Red cards |
| Ceballos | 77 | 2 | 5 | 6 | 1 |
Perhaps his best moment in an Arsenal shirt was scoring a late winner against Sheffield United in the FA Cup quarter final back in 2020 and he would then go on to win the competition with the club.
Now the likes of Declan Rice will be looking to get the better of the Spaniard in midfield should he play in the upcoming Champions League clash.
