Eberechi Eze is a star in the eyes of his current club and country managers, Mikel Arteta and Thomas Tuchel.
It’s no surprise that Arteta is a huge admirer of the playmaker, after Eze scored a hat-trick in the North London Derby to steer the Gunners towards a 4-1 win.
The three goals signified lift-off in Eze’s Arsenal career, and now, he’ll be eager to solidify his place in the England squad further ahead of the World Cup.
Tuchel has been critical of Eze this season, going public with his doubts over how well-suited he is to England’s number ten role; however, behind closed doors, the coach’s view on the player is clear.

What Thomas Tuchel told Mikel Arteta about Eberechi Eze
After Eze’s mesmerising North London Derby performance, the 27-year-old was the talk of the Premier League.
Post-match, Arteta spoke to talkSPORT, where he revealed what was said in a conversation he’d had with Tuchel about Eze.
“When I spoke to Thomas Tuchel, I said, ‘How good is he?’ He said to me, ‘One of the best I’ve seen.’ I rate him one of the best in terms of talent.”
It’s clear that Tuchel sees the level that Eze can hit when he fully settles at Arsenal, with the North London Derby certainly helping his cause.
For Eze, the objective is clear: to win what he can with Arsenal before booking his spot in England’s World Cup squad next summer.

What Eze was like behind the scenes before the North London Derby
If one thing is certainly going to help Eze’s plan for glory, it’s his work rate.
Speaking after the North London Derby, Arteta offered a glimpse of what Eze was like in the build-up to the game, and it’s clear to see why his managers love him.
Eberechi Eze’s North London Derby hat-trick
“After international duty, he had two days off, and he said, ‘No, I want to train the next day, I want to practice,” Arteta told Arsenal’s official website.
“He was asking me questions about his positioning, about his pacing, about this. When a player has that talent, has a brain, and he has that willingness to be better and to make an impact in the team, these things happen.”
Eze, of course, went on to score a hat-trick in the derby, being the first player to do so since 1978, which would’ve undoubtedly turned Tuchel’s head.
