Arsenal’s full attention and focus switches from European action back to domestic matters as Brentford travel to the Emirates Stadium.
Thomas Frank praised Declan Rice for his performance against Real Madrid and the Bees boss was generally impressed with the performance of Mikel Arteta’s side.
However, Brentford will not roll over and make it easy for Arsenal in their Premier League clash, especially with Arteta likely to rotate key stars such as Rice and Jurrien Timber.
Arteta’s latest fitness update suggests Hale End star Bukayo Saka is also set for a rest in the upcoming clash and the Gunners boss has been speaking about what he has brought back to his squad upon return from injury.

Mikel Arteta says Bukayo Saka can do something ‘no other player can’ at Arsenal
Speaking at his pre match press conference ahead of Arsenal vs Brentford, Arteta has praised the return of Saka from injury and had admitted the star does something ‘no other player can’ in his squad.
Arteta stated: “Very important, he gives us a level of threat that in connection an unpredictability that no other player at the moment can provide us,
“Especially with the connection he has already built in and around the team and as well the power to lift the stadium, which is something incredible because shifting the energy in the stadium is something really difficult to do and is a great quality to have.”
Arsenal’s winger tormented experienced defender David Alaba during the win over Real Madrid and Thierry Henry lauded Saka’s performance as he looked back to his very best so quickly after injury.
Ethan Nwaneri and Raheem Sterling set for chance to shine v Brentford
Arteta’s expected rotation for the Brentford clash could give the opportunity to the likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Raheem Sterling to shine once again for the Gunners.
Nwaneri has been brilliant since breaking through into the Arsenal first-team squad this season and could add to his impressive tally of eight goals in all competitions already.

Meanwhile Sterling impressed in the first half of Arsenal’s 1-1 draw at Goodison Park in their last league game where he provided an assist for Leandro Trossard.
Arteta will be looking to utilise his squad depth and give minutes to players who may well be needed to play a part in the second leg at the Bernabeu.
