Arsenal have been receiving a lot of hate lately.
The Gunners have become enemy number one, not just to rival fans at away grounds, but to certain managers and pundits as well.
Fabian Hurzeler blasted Arsenal after their win at Brighton, while Paul Scholes has made a few ridiculous comments too in recent weeks.
Mikel Arteta was asked about all the boos Arsenal face every game, and he thinks it’s because they are the best.
What would your message to the Arsenal team be after the Brighton win?
Mikel Arteta says Arsenal get booed because they are on top of the Premier League table
The atmosphere at the Amex when Arsenal faced Brighton and Hove Albion was very hostile.
Hurzeler accused the Gunners of time-wasting before the game, and the home fans bought into that. Every time there was a stoppage in play, there were boos and whistles directed towards the visitors.
In previous seasons, that may well have affected Arsenal players, leading them to drop points.
However, the current Gunners side is built differently, and they handled all the pressure comfortably to win the game.

After the victory, Arteta was asked about all the boos his players have been facing recently. The Arsenal manager claimed that they are being done by people who want to push his club out of the top spot.
He said in his post-match press conference, as relayed on HaytersTV: “We need to (enjoy the boos), obviously.
“When you are in the position that we are in, they want to take that away from you.
“That’s normal, that’s sport. We need to take that with normality, and we need to confront it in the right way.”
Is Mikel Arteta right or is there another reason why Arsenal players are constantly getting booed?
Mikel Arteta is right; nobody wants Arsenal to win the Premier League title
When you hear so many pundits speak about Arsenal after every game, it makes you feel that they simply do not want the Gunners to win the Premier League.
It’s one thing for rival fans to feel that way, but to see pundits who pretend to be neutral make bizarre claims to put down the Gunners is not right at all.
Arteta is spot on with his assessment. The negative noise coming from outside is from people who want to push Arsenal off the top spot.
The players should just ignore the noise and focus on getting the results. They did that perfectly against Brighton, and we hope they can do the same in the remaining games this term.
