Arsenal are set for yet another must-win clash in the Premier League as they look to keep within touching distance of leaders Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are set to arrive at the Emirates Stadium looking to boost their own chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

Arsenal are sweating on the fitness of David Raya ahead of the game but are boosted by Myles Lewis-Skelly’s red card being overturned, therefore the young full back is available to play.

Mikel Arteta praised Arsenal fans for their part in the North London Derby victory and has delivered a message to the fans once again ahead of this huge fixture.

Mikel Arteta wants the Arsenal fans to ‘bring the energy’ for clash with Manchester City

Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal v Manchester City, Arteta has delivered a message to the Arsenal fans about what he wants from them during the crunch clash.

Arteta stated: “With the eleven on the pitch and sixty thousand in every ball right behind us pushing and bringing the energy, that’s what we want.”

When asked whether the game was a ‘must-win’ for Arsenal, the boss gave a pretty simple response. Arteta stated: “Every game is a must-win for us.”

Goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhaes looked to have clinched three points in the reverse fixture before a 97th minute equaliser from John Stones saw the game end 2-2.

Arsenal and Manchester City renew their rivalry on and off the pitch

The 2-2 draw at the Etihad was surrounded in controversy, Leandro Trossard was sent off by referee Michael Oliver for delaying the restart just before half time.

Erling Haaland was seen telling Mikel Arteta to ‘stay humble’ following the draw and there were also reactions to Arsenal’s game plan from several more City players.

Post-match Bernardo Silva launched a rant about Arsenal and defender John Stones accused the Gunners of being ‘dirty’.
