Arsenal’s squad is filled with top-class players.
Mikel Arteta has built a terrific side over the last five-and-a-half years, and that has made the Gunners genuine title contenders.
The likes of Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhaes and David Raya were all signed by Arteta and have delivered, but there are a few who were there before the Spaniard even arrived.
One of them is among the best players in the world right now.
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka ranked higher than Lionel Messi
Bukayo Saka is Arsenal’s best player.
The Englishman has carried the Gunners on his back since he was a teenager, and he is now one of the best in the business.
Arsenal fans have always claimed that Saka is a world-class footballer, and although people have doubted him in the past, they cannot do so anymore.
Many people like Rio Ferdinand have changed their minds about Saka, and now, ESPN have given him a big recognition.
The outlet has named Saka as the sixth-best winger in the world right now, ahead of big names like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Arsenal targets Nico Williams and Rodrygo, and also the greatest player of this generation, Lionel Messi.
The Argentine has been ranked eighth on the list, two places below Saka.

Who are the five wingers ranked above Arsenal star Bukayo Saka?
Saka has climbed three places in ESPN’s list of best wingers – he was ranked ninth last year.
That is a very respectable standing for a 23-year-old, and we are convinced that the Arsenal number seven will be even higher on the list in 12 months’ time.
At the moment, there are five wingers who have been ranked above him:
| Player | Rank |
| Mohammed Salah | 1 |
| Lamine Yamal | 2 |
| Raphinha | 3 |
| Vinicius Junior | 4 |
| Ousmane Dembele | 5 |
All of the names who have been ranked above Saka are or have been in contention for the Ballon d’Or.
It’s no shame at all that the England international is below them, but we are convinced that he can be better than all of those wingers in the coming years.
It will be interesting to see where Saka will rank in next year’s list.
