Arsenal are now set for a period away from action as the March international break takes the focus of many of the players.
Arsenal players will be in action around the world as the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes and Thomas Partey jet off to all four corners of the globe to represent their national sides.
For some Gunners stars, the international break is a chance to play in different positions such as Oleksandr Zinchenko’s midfield role for Ukraine, whereas other Arsenal stars are staying at London Colney having not been given the international nod.
Declan Rice has revealed what he takes with him on England duty, whilst there has been a return to an international squad for a player that has been absent since picking up an injury in the European Championship in 2024.

Mikel Arteta told he has ‘one of the best’ in Scotland in Arsenal defender
Speaking at a Scotland press conference whilst on international duty, Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn has been discussing the return of Kieran Tierney to the Scottish squad for the first time since the Euros.
Tierney sustained a hamstring injury whilst playing at the tournament and having only returned for Arsenal in late December 2024, the 27-year-old defender missed the last three international camps.
McGinn has been full of praise for the returning Tierney, he stated: “Brilliant to have him back, obviously a fit and firing Kieran Tierney is probably one of the best players not only in Scotland but in Britain, so we’re great to have him back. He’s a big character about the boys.”
The Arsenal man has had a wretched run of luck with injuries in his career and Mcginn highlighted that factor during the press conference.
Mcginn explained: “He never seems to get a bit of luck, it’s always something pretty serious when he gets injured and his injury was a freak hamstring injury when he was trying to keep up with one of the fastest players in the tournament.”
Kieran Tierney expected to leave Arsenal after unfortunate spell at the club
Tierney is set to join Celtic in the summer after the expiry of his contract at the Emirates Stadium but will leave the club with a fantastic reputation amongst Arsenal supporters.
The Scot has been unfortunate with a number of factors during his career at the Gunners, injuries and a change in shape has hampered his game time after establishing himself as a regular upon arrival.

Mikel Arteta once touted Tierney as a future Arsenal captain however, the arrival of Zinchenko meant that game time became less frequent for the defender as the Gunners looked more to an inverted full back approach.
Tierney has shown his worth and versatility in recent weeks as Arteta has played him on the wing and used his defensive intelligence to see out results, the Scot can still play a big part in the final part of the season for Arsenal.
