Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is closing in on a full return from injury, with the winger now available after featuring in training.

The winger has been out since mid-December, with Saka picking up a torn hamstring injury that required surgery and a long recovery period.

There have been struggles for Arsenal in the team since, even with the impressive introduction of Ethan Nwaneri in the team.

However, after all that time, Mikel Arteta has revealed that Saka is back from injury and available from the start, coming as a huge boost.

Ian Wright visits Arsenal training and speaks with Bukayo Saka

While there was a huge boost in seeing Bukayo Saka back in training, there was another familiar face down at London Colney.

That being Arsenal legend Ian Wright, who was seen in the behind-the-scenes videos as part of the session.

A video from the official Arsenal accounts showed the moment where the icon bumped into Saka on his return for a small chat.

Wright gave him a quick embrace before saying: “I feel like I’m shrinking, man, everybody looks so much taller than me.

“I feel like I never even played the game. Man is missing it too much, bro, look at all these things [decorations around Colney], the food.”

It really does show the differences between the old Arsenal infrastructure and the new look and feel around London Colney.

While it’s unclear exactly why Wright was visiting for training, his and Saka’s arrival will no doubt have been a huge boost to the side in preparation for the match with Fulham.

Mikel Arteta’s claim on Bukayo Saka injury return impact

While it was unclear exactly how fit Saka would be when coming back from the international break, the Arsenal star does sound ready for action.

There were promising signs from Mikel Arteta, who has talked up the impact of the winger and his ability when coming back.

“It’s another massive weapon that we have with him,” the Arsenal boss told the press before the clash with Fulham.

“We know the impact that he’s had on the team and how important his role and his contribution are to our success. So it’s great to have him back.”

Saka could now be the key to a successful end of the season.
