Arsenal have completed their fourth signing of the summer as Noni Madueke arrives from Chelsea.
Arsenal confirmed Madueke’s arrival in a £52m deal but the winger will not be travelling to Asia on the club’s pre-season tour due to his exploits with Chelsea in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Mikel Arteta will be pleased to add some pace and unpredictability to his forward options and Madueke could make his Gunners debut at home against Villareal next month.
The 23-year-old has signed a long-term contract with the club and revealed that four current Arsenal players helped to convince him to make the move across London.

Noni Madueke reveals Declan Rice among four Arsenal players he spoke to over transfer from Chelsea
Speaking to the club’s official X account upon signing for the club, Madueke has revealed that England teammates Declan Rice and Myles Lewis-Skelly were among four players he spoke to about the move.
When asked about whether he has any friends in the current squad, Madueke stated: “Declan [Rice], Bukayo [Saka], Myles [Lewis-Skelly] and Jurrien [Timber].”
The winger was then asked whether he spoke to the players about moving to the Gunners and his response was emphatic.
Madueke explained: “Yeah for sure. We were talking about it definitely before it happened and I’m so happy it has gone through.”
The England international went on to tell his new fans that he hopes to bring ‘flair, skills and goals’ to the Arsenal team next season.
With 11 goal contributions to his name last season in the Premier League, he could be that missing ingredient that fires Arteta’s side closer to ending their trophy drought.
What Mikel Arteta has said about signing Noni Madueke
Speaking to the club’s official website, Gunners boss Arteta has expressed his excitement over the signing of Madueke.
Arteta stated: “We’re all so happy to welcome Noni Madueke to the team. Noni is an exciting and powerful young player, with his performances and numbers in recent seasons being of consistently high quality. He is one of the most talented wide forward players in the Premier League.
“At just 23, Noni already brings experience of club and international football, and he knows the Premier League very well. Having seen the quality of Noni’s performances up close in recent seasons, we’re really excited he is joining us.
“Noni joins our group with familiar England teammates and other players he knows. He will be made to feel at home straight away. His arrival will really improve our squad – we’re all thrilled to have him here. From all of us, welcome Noni and welcome to your family.”
Arteta is under pressure to deliver a trophy this season and will now be hoping that further deals for Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze can be completed.
