Arsenal have one of the most valuable squads in world football right now.
The Gunners have spent a fair bit of money over the years, but Mikel Arteta has done an incredible job improving most of them.
Several Arsenal stars are worth a fortune on the market today. If Edu Gaspar decides to sell any of them, he will make a massive profit.
One player’s transfer value has seen a huge rise in recent years – he’s now worth nearly 15 times what Arsenal paid to sign him.
Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli’s transfer value has shot up
Arsenal signed Gabriel Martinelli for just £6 million from Ituano in the summer of 2019.
Edu used his connections in Brazil to sort out a deal for his countryman, and he has been one of the biggest bargain signings in recent history.
Martinelli has had his ups and downs at Arsenal, but nobody can deny the fact that he is one of the most talented players in the Premier League.
The Brazil international is rapid, a great dribbler and his shooting is very good too. He can play across the frontline as well and on his day, he is simply unstoppable.
It is no surprise to anyone that the Martinelli is worth significantly more than the £6 million Arsenal paid to sign him five years ago.
CIES Football Observatory reveals that Martinelli is now the third most valuable Brazilian in world football with a transfer value of €106 million (£88.8m). That’s a £82.8 million increase in five years, which is fantastic.
The two Brazilians who are more valuable than Martinelli are Real Madrid duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo – they are worth €217.6 million and €175.2 million respectively.
If Martinelli returns to his best, we are convinced he will get closer to the above figures.

One reason why Martinelli’s transfer value will increase even more soon
Martinelli hasn’t been at his best since the start of the 2023/24 season.
The Brazilian showed his class in 2022/23, scoring 15 goals in the Premier League. He was brilliant in that campaign, but things haven’t gone to plan since.
Martinelli, hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by Jorginho, came under criticism at the start of this season as well, but he has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, after Riccardo Calafiori started playing behind him.
After this international break, we expect Mikel Merino to start regularly on the left side of the pitch, which means Martinelli will have the support of Calafiori as well as the Spaniard.
We think that will bring the best out of the Arsenal number 11 and that in turn will help increase his transfer value in the coming months.
