Arsenal are linked with over a dozen players in every single transfer window.

Mikel Arteta is always looking to improve his squad, and Andrea Berta signed eight new players in the summer to give his manager what he wants.

In the January transfer window this year, when there was a crisis in attack, Arsenal were heavily linked with a move to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves.

No move materialised in that window, and the Brazilian joined Manchester United in the summer. It looks like he is happy there.

Matheus Cunha says ‘no thank you’ when asked about joining Arsenal

Arteta wanted to sign Cunha for Arsenal earlier this year.

It was clear that the Brazilian was ready to leave Wolves, and he was reported to be a serious target for the Gunners in the January transfer window.

Arsenal decided against making a move for Cunha in the summer and ended up signing Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace instead.

Manchester United snapped him up in the end, and whenever he has played for the Red Devils, Cunha has caught the eye.

That may have impressed a few Arsenal fans, and in a TikTok video, one of them can be seen asking the versatile attacker if he would join the Gunners.

The 26-year-old laughs loudly before replying: “No, thank you!”

Arsenal fans react to Matheus Cunha’s comments

Many Arsenal supporters would’ve welcomed Matheus Cunha with open arms if the Gunners had signed him in the January transfer window.

However, in the summer, almost every Gooner preferred Eze over the Brazilian.

Fans are delighted to have the England international at the club now, which is why they aren’t fussed at all about Cunha’s comments.

One Arsenal fan tweeted: “Nervous laughter because he knows he’d be at Arsenal if we wanted him this summer.”

Another wrote: “He won’t even make our bench!”

“He can only play with the under-21s,” said another.
