Arsenal’s summer transfer window probably couldn’t have gone any better.

The Gunners addressed every single area of their squad with quality additions, and they spent big money.

Arsenal have added real quality to their side, and some of their signings already look very exciting.

Cristhian Mosquera impressed on his debut last week, while Viktor Gyokeres has been tipped for big things too.

However, there are always ways any transfer window could be better, and speaking on The Football Exchange, Troy Deeney has picked out two signings that Arsenal should have made over the summer.

Troy Deeney says Arsenal should have signed Bryan Mbeumo or Randal Kolo Muani

Deeney was asked which summer signing from a big six rival Arsenal should have taken.

The pundit was told that he couldn’t pick Alexander Isak for this exercise, so he chose two different options.

Indeed, Deeney picked Bryan Mbeumo and Randal Kolo Muani as the two players Arsenal should have signed this summer.

“If there could be one signing that the other five classic big six clubs made that you could take for Arsenal, and I’m not allowing you to say Isak, okay, Isak is off the table here. I knew that was going to be the case. one signing that the other five clubs made that you would take for Arsenal,” Deeney was asked.

“I’ve got two. Alright. Bryan Mbeumo. Yeah, he fits the mould really well in those wide areas. Yep, I agree with that. And 100% on potential, not he’s proven it over time, is Kolo Muani.”

Bryan Mbeumo compared to Noni Madueke

Deeney says Arsenal should have signed Bryan Mbeumo, and he does have a point here.

Arsenal were interested in the £65m man before his move to Manchester United, but he headed to Old Trafford instead.

Ultimately, Arsenal did improve the right side by adding Noni Madueke to the squad, but, when you look at the stats, it’s hard to argue against the idea that Mbeumo would be the better signing.
