Raheem Sterling transfer latest
Arsenal have been loosely linked with a transfer for Raheem Sterling this summer after the forward was made surplus to requirements with rivals Chelsea.
The winger has a long-running relationship with Mikel Arteta, dating back to their days at Manchester City.
That has sparked some speculation surrounding whether Sterling could move to the Emirates Stadium in a shock transfer.
While that may be possible, there is one issue that the England international is looking to sort out before making a switch.
According to David Ornstein, the contract situation surrounding Sterling is a key issue being discussed with the Chelsea hierarchy.
He told NBC Sports: “They’re [Chelsea] gonna have to find a solution to the [Sterling] situation.
“There are talks between himself and the club hierarchy over what to do, there are three years on a contract that in excess of £325,000-a-week.
“So what Chelsea owe him runs into the tens of millions of pounds and I think Raheem Sterling’s priority is to settle that before he decides where he might like to go…”
Ornstein went on to speculate that Arsenal could be one of a number of clubs that would interest Sterling in the weeks ahead.

Arsenal set clear Aaron Ramsdale transfer decision
Arsenal have set a clear demand to clubs if they wish to sign Aaron Ramsdale before the end of the summer transfer window.
The goalkeeper has been the subject of interest from clubs in the Premier League and abroad after becoming the second-choice option at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have already eyed up Joan Garcia as a transfer replacement, but that depends on Ramsdale making a move.
Should that happen though, The Mirror claims that any offer must be either a permanent move or a loan with an obligation to buy.
It comes after several offers have been loan moves with an option to make the deal a permanent one, rather than an obligation.
It remains to be seen whether teams will change their tune and make a fresh move for the England international soon.

Emile Smith Rowe reaction
Arsenal stars have been quick to laud Emile Smith Rowe after the forward scored his first goal for Fulham over the weekend.
The Hale End academy graduate made an emotional exit from the club during the summer transfer window in search of more game time.
With the London outfit, Smith Rowe is expected to impress, so long as he can stave off injuries and hit his best form once again.
The winger has certainly shown signs of doing just that as he scored his first of the campaign against Leicester City.
Plenty of his former teammates flocked to social media to give their reaction to the star’s first goal of what could be many at Craven Cottage.
